The PH-Network

Windows 2003 server (standard) is an extra £15 per month. HELM is charged at the standard HELM rate which is £29 per month.

For your information, Windows 2000 Server is £10 per month extra.

There are a few Linux free control panels, but none that are any good for Windows unfortuantly!

Is it still possible to create accounts easily enough with Windows 2003 without a control panel? I'm really interested in being hosted with you, but with the control panel it goes over budget.

Creating the websites in IIS is not too much trouble, and the same goes for FTP. DNS is a bit more time consuming as is E-mail. Also, if your hosting POP3 mailboxes then you would really need to purchase a proper E-Mail server, like IMAIL or SmarterMail.

Would a Linux box with cPanel be of any use? I say this as the software comes fully configured and the control panel has full functionality.

We could possibly drop the HELM monthly license charge to £15 per month of a 6 month contract.

I would have gone for a Linux box ideally, as the software is so much cheaper (or free), but I have an application I need to run on a windows box which is causing the need for a change (I'm using Linux at the moment and love it).

I'll have to think about your offer - but it has brought it to the same price as the US server I was thinking about (with lower specs, but I can deal with that for the UK location).

Do you have any super cheap windows servers (doenst matter about speed bandwidth particularly, just a couple of gigs) that I could rent for 1 month to get a hang of Windows before I make a commitment to switching? I could give you some free advertising on PCReview too, as I can imagine it being a paint to accomodate!

At the moment we only have the 2000+ Athlon servers which come out at £45 per month, plus license fee. If you were to have your own license, then the cost would be just £45 per month.
