Hi everyone!

I am looking at starting my own hosting company using the obvious reselling method but i am a little confused. I found a host that I am really interested in using but need to clarify one little issue. The site in question is Hosting Matters.

I really need to know if I have to share and spread my bandwidth between any and all accounts I sell, or do I buy the individual accounts for the customer (what ever plan that may be (eg 30MB space with 3Gb data transfer) at the resell rate host matters offers?

This matter is starting to really rattle my brains and anyone with any advice or experience with host matters would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,

Ian "The Confused Newbie" Nicholson

When you purchase a reseller account you are given a certain amount of resources which are shared between you and any other accounts you create. You sell your plans at wahtever you want.

thanks for your reply, is that the case with this particular provider? (sorry i cant post the link to the site as I need more posts to do so)

I have seen some sites that give your master account X amount of bandwidth and they allow you to sell individual accounts with their own bandwidth (as it seems)

Has anyone had any dealings with hostmatters.com before?

That appears to be how they work except for that second level supportfor clients. Wonder what that is.

Hi Ian,
Drop Hosting Matters a note and ask about your concerns. They have a very active user forum as well.
I thought their reseller plan was setup where you purchased each one at a discount but Im really not sure so it would be best to contact them directly.
