Got my server today! :) And I will have a lot of questions about Plesk in the near future, I can tell.
The first one. How do I change the IP of a domain?

How do I change the IP of a domain? Martie 11-11-2001, 02:51 AM Try the online user forum at the plesk site www.plesk.com :) delemtri 11-11-2001, 03:03 AM Thanks... err... everyone. ;) Chicken 11-11-2001, 04:32 PM Hey delemtri! I've also recently (been a few days) gotten a plesk driven server and while I won't be able to help you with much of it (yet, I'm still trying to figure it out myself), I think I can answer this one. Click on the domain you want to modify. Click on HOSTING. (should be marked already - physical hosting) Click NEXT. You should see the place where you can choose namebased hosting or IP, and if you check IP, then you should get a drop down list of the IPs on the server. If you don't have any IPs there then you haven't added any, but I recently did this and can guide you there a bit (assuming you've been assigned a set of IPs). delemtri 11-11-2001, 08:47 PM Heya Chicken :) That was EXACTLY what I needed, thanks! Chicken 11-12-2001, 05:57 AM Whew, well we've reached the extent of what I know, heh, errr.. almost. Last I checked the Plesk forums, the search didn't turn up results and I suppose they need to reindex the errr.. thingy so that you can actually find answers. So far the problems I've had have been somewhat odd and unrelated like not being able to upload via FTP due to the FTP server being down (when does that happen? I was pretty sure I was doing something wrong, heh retyping the password c-a-r-e-f-u-l-l-y), and not being able to connect via telnet (SSH duhhhh). So I'm feeling pretty stupid so far, but we've gotten past these small problems and are chugging along, heh. |
