That way he has something to do when he's flat broke, and living on the streets. RMF digitok 04-10-2004, 03:20 AM Bah, the WHT channel I (and others) go to is the "Unofficial" one... Heh. The Dude 04-10-2004, 07:49 PM I dunno why,but 'RED 25' came to me when i read this....... We'll see The Dude :) NE-Andy 04-11-2004, 11:49 AM Was there ever a "what-happened-next" thread posted for this or did he just fall off the face of the Earth? Vortex-Steve 04-11-2004, 11:52 AM He hasn't done it yet, it's on UK TV tonight at 9pm on Sky One. Vortex-Steve 04-11-2004, 02:29 PM Not long to go now. But to be honest I think it has to be a set up. I think he is going to lose everything because if Sky One are going to be following him for a bit after this then it will be a lot more exciting watching someone with nothing, than someone with £150,000 because it's not like he's rich and going to be going out doing crazy things, you can't even get a nice house down south for that much! ic3d 04-11-2004, 02:31 PM You can't even have a nice house for that money over here anywhere. Not even half of it.. Vortex-Steve 04-11-2004, 04:29 PM Well, he just won $260,000, not bad. He picked red by the way, which is what I thought he should do! N9ne 04-11-2004, 04:52 PM How much money did Sky give him for the programmes though? Surely that would've been plenty anyway... Vortex-Steve 04-11-2004, 04:59 PM Apparently they didn't pay him anything. But I'm not so sure about that. But the odds are much, much worse with scratch off or lottery tickets. Roulette's just a straight 50/50 shot if you bet a color -- the best odds you'll get in a casino. But if they guy was a better poker player he wouldn't be in this situation. :) N9ne 04-11-2004, 05:04 PM Originally posted by JayC But the odds are much, much worse with scratch off or lottery tickets. But if they guy was a better poker player he wouldn't be in this situation. :) Actually in Roulette, the odds aren't exactly 50/50, in UK there's the 0 and the US has 0 and 00, which means that the odds that you win are reduced even further. MStar 04-11-2004, 05:05 PM Wonder if mine works. RMF 04-12-2004, 01:34 AM I got a feeling it was fixed. Think about it. How many people that see this will want to go to the casino now?... The Dude 04-12-2004, 03:06 AM I WOULD LIKE TO GO NOW!!!!!!!!! See,I sensed RED and THE WINNING ONE WAS: Red (Anyone know what the # was that won??) I have always considered myself physchic,i dunno........ The Dude :) JayC 04-12-2004, 03:20 AM Originally posted by N9ne Actually in Roulette, the odds aren't exactly 50/50, in UK there's the 0 and the US has 0 and 00, which means that the odds that you win are reduced even further. Yeah, that's true. So with a 0 and 00 the odds are really 47.37% so the house has the edge -- still nothing like the lottery! By the way, there are places in the US that use the European-style wheel with just the single 0 -- though they may not be always open and may be in high-roller rooms. |
