Sam,

So that the forums don't get cluttered and people see info in one place, could you kindly edit both your posts so that your post in this thread is pointed to in the Advertising Forum? This way, it'll help visitors/users alike and won't mean your post get accidentally deleted or mis-interpreted.

You can easily edit your posts by clicking on the 'Edit/Delete' button below each post you've made.

<edit>
I see Chicken's just closed the thread and posted at the same time as I have. I'm moving this thread to the Advertising Forum where it's more appropriate. Sorry Chicken ;)
</edit>

<edit take 2>
This thread is in reference to the original thread at http://www.webhostlink.com/showthread.php?threadid=2098
</edit>

Thanks.

LOL!

If you think we are getting a bit too carried away, then feel free to say so. On the other hand, I personally don't think we're 'copping' - more being in an 'advisory' role where we point out the rules and ask hosts to stick by them. Nearly everyone complies, and usually it's just the new members who aren't aware of them.

Other forums like Scriptkeeper and SitePoint do the same.

This just happened to be an odd case, as we happened to both be at the same forum, same message at the exact same time, doing the same thing.

As BC said, if it's advertising, we just move it to the advertising forum. If people break the rules, we just remind them to review the post at the top of every forum. Anything less than this would be unmoderated, and I posted a link to an unmoderated forum (wasn't pretty) :)

I acted in haste posting that here. I will read the board rules and consider my catagory more carefully in the future.
