Hi all,

I want to sell several domains and I want to know where is the best place to do so.

I know afternic and greatdomains are doing this. Any others?

Thanks.

I would not reccommend Ebay, as you will not be likely to get what you want. Many people sell domains on ebay, for less than $10 each. Ebay is also flooded with companies that bulk register domains, and then sell try to sell them on Ebay with a basic web page included, so for $10 you can find a "fully pre-built website" and domain.

One thing you may want to do, is place a for sale notice on your domain(s). You could also look around websites of all kinds and try to find people who may be interested (i.e. similar domain name owners... people that appear to be buying lots of domain names... etc...)

You could also do a search on, say http://www.google.com, for selling a domain name and see what comes up.

Hope this helps.

greatdomains.com and afternic.com

I found a lot of good domain names for auction at afternic.com.

I go there once in awhile to find good domain names.

Ditto.. While there's a few places to sell domains about those two are possibly the only two where there's any serious thought given to pricing for good names. Granted many are till priced way too high, but a fair price for a fair name will usually see you through... just don't believe a word an 'appraiser' has to say :)

Heh, it's a nice domain, but heck with $15 million, you could almost get yourself a house here in Cali, hee hee ho.

$14 Million dollar 4 bedroom condo on Wilshire in L.A. (http://www.realtor.com/FindHome/HomeListing.asp?pgnum=2&frm=bymap&mls=xmls&pgsz=6&mxprice=99999999&adj=on&ct=Beverly+hills&st=ca&mnprice=10000000&poe=realtor&areaid=89336&areaid=26584&areaid=53379&areaid=80620&areaid=4793&areaid=1557&areaid=7807&areaid=8707&areaid=57275&areaid=27555&areaid=39861&areaid=1118&areaid=78631&areaid=25292&typ=1&typ=2&typ=4&typ=6&sid=D69962B662FA413184AA9BDE5DCD2B98&snum=12)

5 Bedroom in Beverly Hills (http://www.realtor.com/FindHome/HomeListing.asp?pgnum=3&frm=bymap&mls=xmls&pgsz=6&mxprice=99999999&adj=on&ct=Beverly+hills&st=ca&mnprice=10000000&poe=realtor&areaid=89336&areaid=26584&areaid=53379&areaid=80620&areaid=4793&areaid=1557&areaid=7807&areaid=8707&areaid=57275&areaid=27555&areaid=39861&areaid=1118&areaid=78631&areaid=25292&typ=1&typ=2&typ=4&typ=6&sid=D69962B662FA413184AA9BDE5DCD2B98&snum=14)

At least this is an 8 bedroom in Beverly Hills (http://www.realtor.com/FindHome/HomeListing.asp?pgnum=3&frm=bymap&mls=xmls&pgsz=6&mxprice=99999999&adj=on&ct=Beverly+hills&st=ca&mnprice=10000000&poe=realtor&areaid=89336&areaid=26584&areaid=53379&areaid=80620&areaid=4793&areaid=1557&areaid=7807&areaid=8707&areaid=57275&areaid=27555&areaid=39861&areaid=1118&areaid=78631&areaid=25292&typ=1&typ=2&typ=4&typ=6&sid=D69962B662FA413184AA9BDE5DCD2B98&snum=18)

Sadly, the $15,000,000 domain would be but a downpayment on this $39,000,000 puppy...

8 bed in L.A. (http://www.realtor.com/FindHome/HomeListing.asp?pgnum=5&frm=bymap&mls=xmls&pgsz=6&mxprice=99999999&adj=on&ct=Beverly+hills&st=ca&mnprice=10000000&poe=realtor&areaid=89336&areaid=26584&areaid=53379&areaid=80620&areaid=4793&areaid=1557&areaid=7807&areaid=8707&areaid=57275&areaid=27555&areaid=39861&areaid=1118&areaid=78631&areaid=25292&typ=1&typ=2&typ=4&typ=6&sid=D69962B662FA413184AA9BDE5DCD2B98&snum=30)

Note on the above: Only $201,966 Per Month*
(Based on a 30-year fixed rate of 6.51% with 20% down). 20% down on this sucker would be a mere $7,800,000. Can you imagine putting down $7,800,000 on a house and having $200K per month payments? If you make $2,400,000 a year, then you can *just* cover the payments!

And I realize this isn't exactly the top of the line either, I just looked in L.A./Beverly for a few. I'm sure there are more expensive ones here and certainly in other parts of the country/world.

For $14,000,000 I expect to get more than a frickin' 4 bedroom condo though, let me tell you, not to mention more than a URL (notice how I cleverly almost tie back into the subject after a rather tangenty post?)

Sorry, can I just continue this for a second? For $41,000,000, you'd probably expect to get at least a house, eh? Here you get a dirt lot:

Offered at $50,000 per oceanfront foot or $41,000,000 (http://www.opulent-homes.com/manaplan3.htm)

$50,000 a foot? yikes!
