I came across to this forum when I first discovered some people compalining about them ... Turns out, this company was fraud ... Thanks to this forum, I did not go with them .... :) woa ... did not know that much fraud money was involved! cheers, mahinder 11-10-2001, 04:18 PM I don't understand much about capital market but these kind of scam will create bad image of industry on whole. specially in this recession time. NetDotHost 11-10-2001, 04:49 PM WOW  Things like that make me sick. Why can't people be honest? Here I am trying to make an honest living... I mean I would probably do better (in terms of money) if I were to launch some sort of scam, thanks to all the scams out there. We (as an internet society) need to find a way to filter out the scams from the people. Some sort of internet BBB that really works... I think there is some sort of internet BBB out there... Walter 11-10-2001, 05:29 PM Maybe this should be a new thread, but I think many recessions started because people thought there will be a recession and slowed their business. I'm glad I never went with them.... cperciva 11-12-2001, 02:52 AM Originally posted by William Imagine being a real hosting company and trying to get capital, but a fake one actully gets 2.7 Million.. :) Yes, but that was at the height of dot-com mania. You could get money for anything in those days ... as I can personally attest, having been cold-called by a venture capitalist trying to give me money to start a venture which I had stated numerous times "had no possibility of being profitable in the next give years". (I turned him down, by the way; $5M in VC is incompatible with doing a DPhil, and my academics took priority.) Webdude 11-12-2001, 05:19 AM My family and I always go out to eat (we dont like to grocery shop :D ) at various restaraunts (fast food sometimes). The restraunts are always packed. I'm always thinking to myself "If this is a recession, I'm gonna love it when we arent in a recession. Then again, Texas has a self sufficient economy - especially Houston, so I probably have no clue what it's like elsewhere. Is there really all that bad of a slump, or is it just Government and big biz hype? |
