What I want to do is ssh through a subdomain.

Example:

my.site.com-->My IP address-->Certain computer on my network.

but cPanel doesn't seem to be forwarding port 22 from the subdomain to the ip... how do I do this?

Ask your host to create an A record for this subdomain. You'll need to give them your IP address.

Contact your host to add A record as Kevin suggested. That is not redirection :D
