It will all be backed up on the mysql data bases

I need about say, 500 mes, and at least 20G of transfer

I am looking at the 30 price range and below, I have founda a coupel of what appear to be:) good hosting plans, but first want to come here and see if i can get any recomendations, ?

Thanks so much, This is my first time buying a host!

Are you sure you really need 20GB transfer per month? That's very much, most sites have much less traffic. And you didn't even start your board!
BTW, there are many good hosts hanging around here, browse the forum for some comments from customers...

Are you just starting if you are 500 megs is way to much and 3 gigs should do it for bandwidth.

I reccommend you start and slowly expand - rome was not built in one day. Some online companys are hurting right now because they thought they where going to be bigger then they are. Not that 30 bucks will put you out of your home or anything.

Thats not true, I have learned it the hard way..... I had a client who wanted 20 GB of bandwidth and he starts to really use it up after the 3rd month.....

Thanks, i do have a board, but hosted of of my frindes roadrunner 50Kb upload

time to expand.......

I thought V_bulletion should have a lot of bandwith, cause, of the many times peopl reload the site, and browse through the site?

espically if there are 50 users on at one time?!!

how much would that take up
Everyone will have avatars at around 62 by 62, and sigs will be limited at about 40000.

NO i knwo you can't really give me an estimate anywhere near what it will be but try please..........

bandwith per month---

Be sure to find a host with Gzip. It will save your bandwidth big time.

Uhm, a vBulletin board isn't such a bandwidth and space abuser as you seem to think. It depends on how graphically you customize your board, really.

see www.kurafire.com/files/thecouch for my board, which has a LOT of graphical customization (the header & footer) - bandwidth usage of the pages themselves is quite minimal compared to the bandwidth usage of all those images.

I'm currently at about 2 GB a month of bandwidth, with a relatively active board (it exists only two and a half months or so, 160+ users, 13K+ posts) and unless you know you're gonna have a Really active board, you don't need 500 megs and 20 GB of bandwidth at all.

My vBulletin-database is currently about 6 MB. :)

I'm not the vBull police, but I believe that they require you to maintain a copyright notice from them on the bottom of all your pages...
