VSMT the Virtual Server Management Tool JTY 10-17-2000, 08:02 PM I just did a search for it, and it seems to be refering to VDI's cpanel. bob35 10-17-2000, 08:32 PM I think they are only one of many ISP;s using it I would like to get the the source to buy it? Thanks JTY 10-17-2000, 08:45 PM try http://cpanel.darkorb.net/ They are the ones that wrote it, as far as I can tell. Duster 10-17-2000, 08:45 PM It's not proprietary to VDI as a horrible company I once was hosted at uses VSMT. Website Rob 10-19-2000, 03:51 AM Actually, I think Cpanel is proprietary to VDI. I do recall seeing a Copyright but forget the person's name. It's interesting though, on how it "appears" that you can only get Cpanel through VDI or someone connected with them. With darkorb.net being owned by VDI and the only other 2 places where Cpanel is available are using VDI's Server and IP's, one has to wonder. Duster 10-19-2000, 04:38 AM I repeat, VSMT is not proprietary to VDI. AIT is that horrible company that also has it and they have no connection to VDI as far as I know. diyoha 10-20-2000, 12:22 AM is the CPANEL free to use? JTY? I could not tell anything from the website thanx Matt Lightner 10-20-2000, 02:02 AM Actually, I think Cpanel is proprietary to VDI. The Cpanel is owned by John (Nick) Koston, the program developer. He is an employee of VDI and darkorb.net is a domain name that he owns and uses for private development purposes. You can ONLY get Cpanel at VDI (or a VDI-based company). I have never heard of VSMT, and I am *pretty sure* that VDI has nothing to do with it. Matt mlightner@site5.com Website Rob 10-20-2000, 09:25 AM That's the guy! Thanks for reminding me Matt. And for pointing out my error. I guess I didn't look close enough before, as I see that darkorb.net goes to virtual.vdi.net > which is owned by VDI. That's where my mistake came in. Sorry John :emlaugh: |
