Me, well after two days I recieved over 40 in my Yahoo email account. I use to just recieve just a few spam emails a day, but now I get a flood of spam since I disabled my filters because it was blocking personal emails.

What's the most spam you ever recieved?

hehe, I probably get 100+ a day, but spam assassin and outlook junk folders keep it so i see maybe 4.

I got rid of my old domain that used to just harvest spam like anything. That domain alone, would get me around ~60, heh'

Easy check... I moved websitegoodies.com to my current host in October, 6 months ago. I only set up mailboxes for actual addresses I use and have used in the past. Everything else goes to the catchall that never gets read.

6 months and number of mails to nonexistant addresses on the domain (all auto-generated address spam): 28,059

Nowhere near the amount of spam I get to the actual mailboxes. You'd expect it after 6-7 years of publically using it as my primary mail address. OE uses something over 10 gigs for some time in 2003 to present.

I get well over 500 a day in spam....

But I have 20 emails that I check everytime I open up Outlook.

And that's not including my hotmail/msn addresses - I get roughtly 50 everytime I check it (every 2 days or so)

Well, my friend has an email account I check on the domain "gamepalz" and just in 3 months it had 10,000 spam emails. Does the Can-Spam act apply in Texas :)?

One of my domains nets me between 1900 and 2400 spam mails a day in the catchall account.

Toggle all. Delete.

Others aren't quite so bad, ranging from just a few to a couple hundred a day.

I get around 500 a day across various accounts. My main business account has now started getting on the spam lists which is really beginning to affect business now... I can't understand the mentality of spammers.

Luckily if I'm on my PC (rather than checking remotely on my laptop), using a combination of Norton Anti-Spam and Outlook 2003's inbuilt spam filter, I rarely see them in my INBOX... the problem is that I check email a lot remotely when I'm not at my desk.

I received 22,000 or so in about 2 days on my spam@ account, but that was coming off of a mailscanner box that was forwarding all spam to a imap box for statistics purposes.

As far as my personal boxes...no spam..thanks to the standalone server I setup to block spam before it even hits the cPanel servers :D

AOL filters over 2 billion messages per day from ever reaching its customers' mailboxes.

At least some use out of AOL...

Yeah, unfortunately some of those filtered out are legitimate emails.

Not as bad as the others. My hosting email addresses get maybe 1 or 2 a day. My vortexinternet.com account seems to of been picked up by a few more people and I get several hundred a day.

I went a month without checking a free email account (Yahoo) and I know I had well over 1000 emails in my inbox. I closed the account and made a new one, except this time being more wary of where I give my email address. Mind you, that was 2 years back, I was fairly new to the internet.

What kind of programs are you guys using to filter spam? Other than spamassasin? anything like mail washer or the likes?

I received about 50 a day on barrysworld account. That's the fun part when you are registered in some gaming community and your opponent can't bare the fact that they lost a clanwar vs you. This 50 a day was with the game.net spamfilter on full alert. After installing my own filter on top of it i only received 4 a day.. still 2 mutch, so i switched accounts to another freemail provider.

Used to get about 50 a day, but Spam Assassin has culled that down to 10 a week or so (a little over one a day).

I had about 1170 after a month. And a hotmail account I could not tell you as I had not logged in for 30 days and it was put on hibernation. That account I used to get upto 30 Spam a day. Since it was closed and since reopened, that has dropped to 5 a day
