I just bought a used phplivehelper license that was due to expire in jan 2005

Turnkey solutions says they wont change the domain on the license period ..

The old user still had phplivehelper files on their support site, so I tought that might be the problem, so I asked if the user made sure he removed all files, if they would do it then, the answer was a still very firm NO .. I had the feeling by reading other posts here they had done that for others on the past .. maybe I just got a uncooperative tech .. but either way ..

The real crappy part is, I sent them (Turnkey) an email with the license info, and asked I was goign to buy the license from this user, if it was a valid license, and if the sale was OK .. they reply sayign yes, now they are playing the "you didnt asked" game regardign changing the domains .. the attitude of the company makes sure I will never buy from them, period.

I just hope I get my money back

PHPLiveHelper Licenses dont expire, do they?

There was a cutoff date where licenses purchased before dont expire. You cant install the script on many sites but you can install in 1 central location and use the button on as many sites.

Did you keep the in/out e-mail for what you sent and received?

Licenses do not expire!

With your initial payment you will get updates and support for 1 year. If after a year you would like to continue getting updates and support you will need to renew that fee. The license however is good forever.

In regards to domains, when you generate a license key you enter in the domain you are using. The person above bought a license that was already in use from somone else on these boards. We cannot reissue a key if the old license is still in use.

But, if he now holds the license, why can''t you just produce another key?

As our license agreement states the license is good for one domain and one install. The license sold to him was still in use on another site. If we issues another key, the same license would be in use on two sites at the same time.

The moral here is that if you buy from someone who says the license has never been used, make sure that they are actually telling thr truth.

You mean it's impossible for you to disable the current key?

Because I'm getting a different moral to this story.

"The old user still had phplivehelper files on their support site, so I tought that might be the problem, so I asked if the user made sure he removed all files, if they would do it then, the answer was a still very firm NO "

So if the old file are removed why can't you reissue the key for the new site and kill it for the old one?
