i've seen something like mydomain.com with it's nameservers as ns1.mydomain.com and ns2.mydomain.com.

how's this done?

register your nameservers ns1.yourdomain.com and ns2.yourdomain.com with your registrar and host your domains on it.

need to read a little about setting up your own DNS servers.
