Hi

Is there anyway, please, to turn off sodding catch-all on CPANEL/WHM?

Backended by Exim. Can't find a positive answer on any known FAQ/Site.

Thanks

One of the fellow forum addicts at another forum came up with putting "| /dev/null" (without the quotes) as the catchall which should keep you from getting the e-mail. However I haven't tested it (I like my catchall) and a couple people that tried it did have some problems with it for some reason. If anyone has any other ways other than the fake address thing, it'd be great.

Note: I tested that wrong and it didn't work, however I did figure out another way.

Is there any way to have it generate an error message saying the email address is invalid so the sender knows they have the wrong address?

Ok, I remembered awhile back something that got used to send a failed message back. Put :fail: as the default/catchall address. "Exim" triggered my vile sense of memory and it provided something useful for once. :)
