I have a dedicated server at Pair Networks since January. Bandwidth over-usage used to be incredibly expensive, in the range of $ 7.50 per GB. Now Pair is working with tiers of 25 Gb per month which comes down to $ 3 per Gb.
Pair is still not the cheapest provider but if you want a fast network & high reliability then I can tell you from experience that they are among the best.
With the latest improvements I think that Pair QuickServe (www.quickserve.com) is worth having a look at.
Example QS2 configuration
- freeBSD
- Pentium III 1000 / 512 Mb
- 60 Gb bandwidth per month
- daily backup included
- $ 350 per month, no setup
