Any input / experiences about this company and their services would be appreciated and also curious to know who else if anyone offers simular services.

Thanks!

I know people using this system successfully. Give you a lot of control. For a simpler method (if your not a coding person) look at dotster they just created a cobranded reseller program.

Dotster unfortunately doesnt support many platforms at this time
and I think their rates arent any cheaper than their normal 14.95/y sale for domain sales under 100/m. So there is no real point in using it. And you make like 1.00 or something each selling 200/m Waste of time. Not that there's money in selling domains, but the fact is.. imagine getting one fraud, thats 15 orders you have to sell just to get your money back. instead of say, 3-4 using OpenSRS.

I also am now extremely mad at Dostser, because I used to send them many sales for a measly 1.00 and now they redirect these hits and spam their webhosting all over the place, for no revenue earned on my side.. I think Dotster made a huge mistake there, and pissed off hundreds of hosting companies. While they have grown and might not care, the word Dotser will dissappear. I for one do not reccomend them any longer.

They have proven that they are only there to gain for themselves, they will turn on you when neccessary for theyre own sake.

opensrs is the best. i have no problems with them and have registered 1000's of domains. but here are some points:

1. today godaddy.com offers domain for very cheap price so $10 is not compatative any more.
2. dotregistrar.com is anyother domain registrar which allows you to register domains for $6.49 but i have never used them and i am planning to use there services.
3. opensrs does not offer domain delete feature (in case of chargebacks and fraud orders you can delete the domain at www.dotregistrar.com).

so all in all i don't want to confuse you. opensrs is best, but there are many.

...I was happy with Dotster for a long time, but when they started their own co-branded hosting with Hostway I became unhappy. It's one thing to let hosting companies advertise on your site, but their strategy was not to provide a service to hosting companies, but rather to compete with them directly. Goodbye.

*I could not be happier* with OpenSRS. If you can afford the upfront bread (either $250 or $500 depending on which option you take) they're the way to go if you're a hosting company.

We've been with openSRS for over a year and registered 1000s of domains with them. Excellent service. The few times I did have to contact customer support...the service was excellent.

Well I was looking at them.. from the post up top about fraudelent domains and being able to delete them was
a option that led my interest

but the scoop is
FREE Delete Feature!
Now you can delete domains within 3 days of registration and get INSTANT CREDIT back

Unfortunately you wont know a domain is carded within 3 days

But still is better than nothing

Also theyre domain price is nice but its a start up cost.. for them to get their business rolling, you can bet to see their prices increase at the beginning of next year.. so is it worth it
