Hi

I currently only accept payments through PayPal. I'm wondering if I should use ClientExec alongside it?

I have a licensed copy. I just want peoples feedback.

Anyone have any examples that are good?

Anyone use it alongside cPanel?

Client Exec is a great product. Although not as automated as a full service program such as ModernBill, HostAdmin, etc it's definitely a worth while client management program for any service. Considering you're only utilizing PayPal this could be just the program for you.

One of the best aspects of Client Exec is that Alberto is well known for not just his good work, but working 1 on 1 for technical support difficulties. Their reputation is a thumbs up.

Although it is not perfect, I actually am liking ClientExec. No problems that I've experienced, and it looks to be a pretty complete system. It's constantly being developed, so I see good things coming in the future. It's pretty stable too. As it sits right now, the only thing I would like added (and there is plenty more that is being worked in, but this is just personally) is email piping.

Waylon

We have been using the software for about a year now and really like it. There are options that we would also like to see added, such as a good support desk. I believe this is being developed and will be released in the next update.

Client Exec is a good, basic invoicing program. The features that are said to be included in the next update (cPanel integration among other things) will make it even better.
We used CE until we outgrew the features it offered. For the $99, though, it was worth it!

Yes, I also have been using CE for about 1-1/2 yrs. and appease to it's simplicity. It does lack some features, but v1.2 should be out soon (no date yet, in beta) which will include cPanel integration and a few other items (view this thread (http://www.clientexec.com/forum/showthread.php?t=3955&page=4) )

One thing that I don't like is that each package needs to be attached to a domain name whereas I have some customers that just purchase tangible/intangible items (someone wrote a hack for this that works quite well).. This will be addressed in v1.3.

All in all, it is a nice, clean and robust billing module; I recommend it.

Apparently during private BETA testing they decided to change some fundamental items. Could be a lengthy delay, since they need to add, test as ALPHA and then again as private BETA, etc..

I just read on their forums that there will be a announcement within 48 hours and they are close to release time. So maybe this week we get a spring present from CE and a long awaited update. :)

While I fully understand Alberto's wish to release only stable versions, he needs to step up his time table a bit. Industry wise, the product is still very weak in a lot of areas.

Agreed, CE is by far the worst outta the big 3 Modernbill whoiscart and CE. It depends on your needs. If you only need a centralized place for billing (CC and PayPal), Invoicing, and a few other features, for the $99 you can't go wrong. The other systems are for people who need integration with a control panel and such, which isn't really necessary until you process a high volume of orders.
