If anyone is interested in expired domains...

http://www.freedailyexpired.com adds new domains daily, with a searchable listing of over 500,000 domains. This database is cleaned of names that have been in for more than 15 days.

Thanks for the info.

I've subscribed to the site's mailing list. :)

Also check out deleteddomains.com - they have a searchable database. For example, I search for expired domains containing the word "host" everyday. It's how I found hostrite.com :)

FreeDailyExpired.com has a seaarchable database as well. You can search by keyword or display the whole list for the day. The list is usually in the range of 20 30 thousand names. And the database hold names for 15 days so you can search from previous lists as well.

Also, just want to contribute, www.localwhois.com this week has a free 7 day membership for limited time, thier service is really great, almost exactly like www.domainsbot.com, search expired, soon to expire, and on hold domains.

Is there any service like snapnames.com that snaps domain name fatser than snapnames.com?

I don't know of any but would love to find one. I lost a domain because of snap names they never registered it like they were supposed to.

Maybe someone here should start one:D

It's time to build a better mouse trap...

how long does it take for snapnames.com to snap a domain once the domain name is released.

do you think I will have a chance to snap it before snaapnames.com do?

I have tried www.namewinner.com before and they seem to get the job done. They will try to get expired names for you as soon as they expire. But this is an auction-type of service. Minimum bid is $25. I bid $25 last time and I got my name that had just expired.

But if it's a really popular name, there maybe a few people trying to bid for it.

It's worth a shot, you only pay if they get the name for you.

Do they use your information to register the domain name or they register it for them and you can use it?

I took a look at www.namewinner.com.

I guess they register the domain name using your contact information.

Yes, they register the name using your contact information.

Another service very similar to snapnames is www.expirefish.com They charge $10/month for monitoring unlimited domains, and $10/year for domain registrations (and free domain ownership transfers). I'm using them, and they seem pretty good. But the thing is they (only) check domains every 10 minutes, and snapnames I hear registers the domains in milliseconds after they expire. So basically what I do is check if someone has already back-ordered a domain through snapnames, and if not, I'll back-order it with expirefish.
