Man, big wave surfing is insane and deadly. Yet at the sametime it looks like it would be really fun. I cant believe people are looking for waves that have a 100 foot face...

I boogie board quite often, or as some would say "sponge". I've never done anything over 8-9 feet face and those waves seemed pretty big to me. I even strained my rotator cuff one summer on about a 8 footer. I couldn't imagine what a 50-70 ft. wave could do to a person.

Oh yeah, i included a picture of Danilo Coutoon surfing a wave called Jaws which is a wave located off the shore of Hawaii.

I think with a wave that size, you just keep steady and hope you don't die, lol.

You cant even paddle into these waves, they have to tow you in with a sea doo. From what i understand you need to hit these waves at 40-50 miles per hour because thats how they're moving that fast. They also have a "binding" type system on the surf board and your feet are somewhat harnessedbt straps... I promise this is a real wave, and is known for having a face of 50-70 feet.....
