What is a good script or service that will give me detailed web statistics for my site.

I am looking into a free or paid service.

AWStats is free and pretty good.

AWstats is quite detailed and reports a lot of information. This sounds perfect for you, and as Stormhosts said, it's free, so can't go wrong ;) .

As mentioned above, try AWStats or Webalizer, they are both great.

But which should be trusted? Both give completely different #'s.

I would say AWStats, at least in my cases, they came out to be the most accurate.

They'll give different numbers because each probably has different definitions of a "visitor" and a "pageview".

AWStats is good, but if you can get it, use Urchin. :D

I was looking for a php script.
Awstats looks like cgi/perl ..

Are there any good services ?

Urchin all the way - but you probably want it only if you have a provider that can give it to you free or for $1, otherwise, its pretty pricey.

Yeah, any host in EV1 or SM will be able to provide it CHEAP though (it's free, they have DC licenses)
