I think all DSL providers let you access webservers. Or do you mean run your own on the line?

Most limit that to business packages.

You wouldnt want to... it would be too slow.
Thats part of the reason why most people dont host it themselves.
Also because they dont have any support that way.
Or anyone to back up data.
Plus, you need UPS and special temperature control units.
Lots of stuff to deal with.. better just go with a host..

Check out Cyberonic. $49.99/mo ($39.99 if you pre-pay for 18 months). It includes a static IP, 1.5 Mbps down, and 768 Kbps up. Best package that I've been able to find.

Sprint FastConnect DSL...

ADSL: 3Mbps down, 1Mbps up
SDSL: 2Mbps down, 2Mbps up

I host a lot of interal stuff in-office for security reasons, and these do just fine. Will probably opt for a partial DS3 at some point though.

I ran a home server with 1 site on Verizon and Comcast, both were OK, but after the site grew it had to be moved to a real server.

Speakeasy's policy is just like real bandwidth/backbone providers. They provide you with X/kbps bandwidth, and dont care how you use it. You can run servers, you can fileshare etc. As long as its within their AUP just like a datacenter/host needs to abide by the AUP's of their providers (abovenet etc)
