i have 2 dedicated server P4 2.4 1Gb ram Cpanel and i have note that when the daily backup run the server crash and i need to call the dc for reboot ( i can only ping it), i have try also to change the cron job time but is is the same, when it go down the load is always low around 1.5... i dont have any problem on my other 3.06Ht or dual xeon

seem that this probem happend also when the server run the logs, but not sure of this

any solution?:confused:

i have disable the dma on the hds and the server didn't crash but the load is to high, i have enable it again and when the backup started my server dead again, any idea??

That thread might give you some ideas as you need to get more Server resources. Either that or move some accounts off the Server.

hi, thx for your reply but not is a resource problem because my server crash when do the backup and the load is always around 1.5, as i told i have disable the dma and all worked fine so i think that is a I/O problem
