Hey guys.
Anyone of you got this PerfectNav thing on your IE ? Apparently everytime i enter a URL that isnt valid, it sends me to this PerfectNav page..... kinda irritating i'd say.
Any idea how to remove it ?

It probably is because of Kazaa. Get adaware, uninstall kazaa.

I just spent the weekend getting rid of spyware and adware. Even though I'm careful, it sneaks in. I don't understand why this stuff is legal. It's not that different from a virus.
There is excellent information on how to get rid of this junk and keep it away here:

Lol, as if spyware has anything to do with IE or FireFox..
If people would learn general maintenance, and how to take care of their own systems, this type of stuff would not happen.
It's user error, not an "irritating IE thing" as the thread title suggests.

People could easily make spyware attack firefox or any other mozilla based browser...
Which makes me wonder why they don't. Oh, that's right, 95% of the internet uses IE.

I had a friend's computer get "hi-jacked" and ran "Hi-Jack This" to remove it. But I did a twist. Instead of deleting the line in the registry that had the url to the hi-jacker's site, I simply place a normal home page url (like www.cnn.com) in there. Keeps you messing up the home page setting by accidently hitting "Use Current" button when you meant to hit another one.
