Hi there,
I am thinking about being a reseller.
Is there a program where I don't have to do customer support?
Or... is there a good affiliate program that pays high recurring commission?
Basically, I want to make recurring monthly income without dealing with customers :stickout:
_Thanks you:popcorn:

Try using the search option at the top and having a look for affiliate programs, there's quite a few around, the only one i can think of, off-hand is hostcolor.com

http://www.resellerspanel.com is a pretty good service...but, all accounts are billed yearly....and you can only offer 2 plans...on the up side it is all "no touch" as far as billing/support/set up etc etc really all you have to do is promote it and try to get people to buy the service. You have full price control you dont in fact have to buy the plans but they are 3.33/6.66/mo for you and you can price them at anything over that and you will get your comission each month. you also have full price control on all upgrades/extras as well. they have very fast 24/7 support for you and your end users as well...once you build up a client base you could also move them to your own resellers account/dedicated server to increase your profits. would be great for someone just starting out wanting to get into the biz. But i doubt it will make you rich, little on over night

Hope this helps!

You could try outsourcing your support to bobcares.com or something similar.

You can find a web host and get in contact about it. For example, you can sell their packages, and you will get %20-30..

I want to open a restaurant, but I don't want to deal with the customers. I want someone to cook the food, greet the customers, serve the food, and collect the bills.

Only if it were that easy, get the money from people and no problems :)

There are a few places that offer reseller accounts where they support the customers.

I think Lunar Pages offers 49$ per client you brign in i believe. Take a look at them. I am not that sure how it works but check it out at lunarpages.com

They handle the client, you just send them to Lunar Pages :-P

Other websites offer like 15-30% of the sales you bring them. That is one of the best ways

Talk to "Alex" from t35.com. t35 did reseller plans where they support your customers 24/7 (but you have to admit you are a reseller to do this).
PS: If you sign up tell alex that "Neill" sent you.

http://www.webwizards.net/ - 25% recurring commissions
http://akashik.net - 10% recurring commissions

BUT! A good affiliate program is an one from a company that offers good service. You wouldn't want to sell people bad service, would you? :)

EDIT: I'm don't know much about the quality service of those two companies. Do your own research and come to your own conclusions.

Ipowereb.com I think offers like $65.00 for every customer that you bring to them.

As I said, see how's their service first... There a few hosts that pay $65 and even more, but that doesn't mean everyone should promote them. Always think of your visitors as your friends and refer them to what you sincerely believe that is a quality host. referral commisision, although important, should be the last criteria in choosing an affiliate program.

Yep, and who better to provide tech support for such clients of resellers, than the folks with root access to the servers? :)

HTTPme nearly added a product like that a while back, but I couldn't get some details ironed out to my total satisfaction, so nothing eventuated. Basically there's lots of little helpdesks that all funnel up to a master helpdesk, and your clients pay $X/mth for you to support their clients through that helpdesk. Working out how much to charge your clients for this, is not easy, and obviously based on ticket volume etc.

There's a good model there, and an extra stream of revenue for hosts who supply reseller plans, but getting it to work (pricing, admin etc) is tough.

Private label support for your hosting plans can be outsourced, say, from India. This is the one side of the coin.

The other side says, reselling goods without having to deal with customers. Become Amazon.com associate, or go to com junk

I know of a company that will support your customers but there is a cost and a minimum amount of customers you have to have before they will take you on. Depending on what control panel you are using, there are companies like hspheresupport.com that will handle your support for you. There used to be a company call 24x7support or something that offered 3rd party support for a bunch of control panels. But then you have to turn over your customers to a 3rd party. Who can say how they will treat your customers?

That's the risk of outsourcing, and why you need to check up on them from time to time.
