Can someone tell me how much advertising pays out these days? (ad banners, pop-unders, etc.)

I'm trying to determine whether they're worth having. I wouldn't want to bombard my visitors with ads for a miniscule payout rate.

Depending on how targeted your site/audience is: $.50 - $45.00/CPM. I would say the average is about $5-$10.00/CPM but they media buyers are drying up.

Currently the web hosting directorys normally range between $5.00 and $50 per CPM.

There was a guy on the these boards who was offering $.50/CPM on their network. They were an internet marketing agency I think. Someone may remember them.

where do i get these advertising pop ups now? they are all gone.. is this only a business to business thing now? would people be interested placing ads at my domain which had 30 millioins hits last year?
