ON the raqs from rackshack, there set up for quite a small file system on root ("/") so what do you do when this runs out ? After installing pkg files, its already looking grim, as in amount of space left, can you resize the partitions yourself, coz theres plenty in the /home !

check your /tmp directory (usually uder /) and clear up any unnecessary files ... Also, you may move somefiles/directories to your /home or even set a symbolic link if you wish ...

I think the above may work on your raq ..

cheers,

The small / partition is not a Rackshack issue - all RaQ 4i's are set up like that by default.

The symbolic link solution does indeed work - search here and at http://google.com for more info ...

You can move /usr/local over to /home. This can free up a lot of disk space. Also, certain items in /var can be moved as well.

i was getting up to 96% on my / partition and it was easily dropped down to 77% by installing an update from cobalts site.

Sorry i can remember which patch it was but if you look on cobalts site you will find it.
