View Full Version : Web Host for sale
sniperhq 03-28-2004, 12:38 AM Hi,
I wish to sell my web hosting business. I have been in business for 11 months, but I no longer have the time to operate the business.
I run a cPanel / WHM server through ServerMatrix. Server specs are as follows:
P4 2.4GHz
512MB Ram
40GB HDD
40GG Network Backup Storage
16 IP addresses (13 being used)
RedHat 9
All up, about $150USD per month (can clarify cost if needed).
I host approximately 50 clients, monthly income of approximately $400 (Australian Dollars). Average new clients per month is 4.
I wont post the URL to my business here, but if anyone wants to know the link to it, PM or Email me.
Bidding starts at AUD$750 (USD$555).
If you have any questions, post them here - or PM / Email me.
Thanks!
Mitch Ryan
sniperhq 03-28-2004, 01:08 AM I forgot a few details.
All payments to ServerMatrix are made on the 1st of the month. Today being the 28th.
The buyer can either transfer to his/her server, or continue using our server and make all future payments to ServerMatrix.
Also, if we are charged by ServerMatrix for the server and someone chooses to take control of our server, the buyer will be required to pay us the equivilant of that month's charge.
Hope that makes sense :)

othellotech 03-28-2004, 10:20 AM hi
please fwd any information you have to acquisitions [at] othellotech.net, happy to sign an NDA if require
please PM me the site url
how many pay monthly, how many pay annually and which months are they due ?
do you do domian regsitration, if so what do you charge per domain, which regsitrar do you use, is the regsitration account included
are there any other "assets" (i.e. licences etc) that will be transferred ?
you say ...
"Also, if we are charged by ServerMatrix for the server and someone chooses to take control of our server, the buyer will be required to pay us the equivilant of that month's charge. "
so if we didnt want the serevr, you'd pay for it, and either way, you're likely to get this months hosting recurring fees ;) seems a little odd to ask for the server fee as well :p
TechSolution 03-28-2004, 01:03 PM othellotech - I'm reading it as if the server isn't transfered by the 31st, you have to pay your bid plus one month for the server given he would be paying for your first month with the server. Please correct me if I'm wrong...
Can you provide us with any details on the two discontinued packages (T1 and T2) along with the resellers? How many pay by year/month?
Please PM me with the info or post it here.
gmilazzo 03-28-2004, 06:04 PM 675.00 aim if interested

sniperhq 03-28-2004, 06:13 PM TechSolution is correct about the server payments. I dont want to pay a full $150USD for the server then hand it over to someone else on the 2nd or 3rd day of the month :)
T1 and T2 are identical to S1 and S2, except are trimmed of some cPanel features (auto script installation etc).
T1 is $5 a month or $50 per year
T2 is $7 per month or $70 per year.
All T1 and T2 customers are yearly payments.
Approximately half of the resellers are monthly or quarterly, the rest are yearly (with several due to pay another couple of hundred dollars in the next few weeks).
I'm not going to post my entire customer base here with payment dates etc, if you want more info on that, email me.
Yes we do domain registration but that is not for sale.
Our primary domain will be transferred to the buyer aswell.
I do have MSN. Email me for the address :)
cerebro 03-28-2004, 07:30 PM Ill buy it, if it's still available! Let me know your contact details, and we can discuss it further....

othellotech 03-29-2004, 09:00 PM sniperhq:
quick questions before i can make an offer for the business/server etc ...
what method do the clients pay by - paypal/c/card (through which gateway) ?
would you consider including the domain business too ?
can you quickly summarize the main reseller plans you offer(ed) and their pricing
i know it's a lot of detail, but if you've offered the moon for $5 aud a month, we can't hope to keep it running ;)
cerebro 03-30-2004, 06:29 AM $1000 AUS....
cerebro 03-30-2004, 06:31 AM sorry $1050....

othellotech 03-30-2004, 08:48 AM cerebo : i think the idea in an auction is to outbid *other* people rather than just yourself ;)
cerebro 03-30-2004, 08:59 AM I know, I accidently put in the price, then realised someone had beaten me to it......
sniperhq 03-30-2004, 09:08 AM Current high bid of $1050...

sniperhq 03-30-2004, 05:22 PM Clients pay using either PayPal or Direct Deposit (bank transfer here in Australia).
Yes, the business domain is included too.
I wont post details of every reseller, but most are paying in the order of $30 a month or upwards of $350 per year. Average stats are:
