I need a good reliable host for my client. And was wondering if anybody had any suggestions. He's willing to pay about $8 a month.

There are many good hosts visiting this board. Browse through the forums and look for customer comments.
BTW, "willing to pay $8" doesn't tell too much - maybe you should add his needs....

In the mean time, if your client will go for 2 more bucks a month, I'd have to suggest that he take a look at F5Hosting (http://www.F5Hosting.com).

I am a cleint of theirs and are very happy and don't see why others wouldn't be.

So, check out their plans and see if it fits your clients requirements.
