When they say Intel servers, its not Intel that actually produce the server, Intel simply produce the CPU, and possible the b/moard. In the Cobalt Raq4, one of AMD's older chips (the K6-2) processer is used. Most "normal" servers use Pentium III, some the new Pentium IV or AMD Athlon. Cobalt uses some older AMD chips with less performance. coatsy 11-04-2001, 12:01 PM ah i see :) makes sense why the pentium servers are more exspensive then ;) So has anybody used kikko.com before as a host, i`ve searched around this board about posts and topics about kikko and there seems to be a pretty mixed opinion about them , mainly with their Cobalt Raq4's though  Erich 11-04-2001, 11:01 PM I contacted them through mail and livehelp. In one answer they said I can burst to 10, in another to 100 MBit. In both they told me $3/GB over. If you click order on the 300GB/$79 offer it says 200 GB instead of 300 on the package description. 300GB for $79 but over is $3? Hmmm I thought they might have that $3000 cogent line so that#s why I even asked them about the $79 deal. coatsy 11-05-2001, 09:17 AM i didn`t know kikko.com had a $79 deal  Erich 11-06-2001, 06:05 AM No even a special deal but a regular offer http://www.kikko.com/package_eadvanced.htm Bojer 11-06-2001, 11:08 AM We used Kikko for around 5 month... ($300 per 500Gb traffic) well, there are 2 things I have to say: 1. sometimes they are going off for a few hours... 2. We'll drop them soon... Eiv 11-07-2001, 12:53 PM Kikko down? |
