Hi, I really do fancy using an Alabanza host (unless anyone has any major problems I should know about) and would appreciate it if we could compile a list of them here, with any comments...

I only know of Hosting Matters and Hostrocket (which really is too good to be true).

Thanks...

How many hosts are housed in Alabanza? By the time you'd get done counting them, there'd be 1,000 more. :)

There are several Alabanza-based hosts... some I hear about more often are:

More are listed here: http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?threadid=1385

Of course, http://www.intersurge.com is also an alabanza-based host :).

superior-host are moving, they are in the middle of moving, and new clients will not be on Alabanza.

Clarification for hosts : technically some of the posts made above would be in breach of this rule :

3. You can post replies to requests for general information or for those that are looking for a web hosts but not in a way that promotes your own company.

However, in the interests of maintaining a definitive Alabanza list (and so we get as comprehensive as possible) you may post to indicate if you're an Alabanza company - keep it to a simple statement please. This is a once-off thing.

(if anyone questions the rationale of my clarification, please feel free to post and I will offer my reasons. Of course, this clarification can always be annulled ;))

I'm on the same boat as Greg ... new customers won't be on Alabanza (and in a few weeks, neither will the old) ;-)

You can add PotentProducts.com (http://www.PotentProducts.com) to the list of Alabanza VAR's.

We're an alabanza host. If you like the interface on the control panel, we've made a lot of effort to customize each of them to our own design. In fact we're selling them to other Alabanza hosts because no one seems to like the old icons, yet it takes a lot of work to change them.

Usually only Alabanza hosts get to see this site, but here's a preview of the work we've done. Note: the whole 'savings' concept on the site is poking fun at all of us who are Alabanza hosts and claim to be saving soooo much money when we're all selling a similar product.

take care.

Hey, Thomas, nice icons.

Harris Media is also an Alabanza host.

When we were looking for a dedicated server, I compiled a list of hosts I understood to be leasing their servers from Alabanza. I've updated the list to include the hosts identified in this forum. If it would be appropriate to post a link to this list, perhaps a moderator will let me know. While the information might be helpful to some people, I certainly don't want to do anything to incur the wrath of the Chicken Death Squad.

As far as Alabanza hosts go, I know first hand that WeinBar Communications is an Alabanza host.

Peace

Can someone pls tell me why the following "Alabanza hosts" from the list display the same "under construction" page?

http://broadcasthosting.com/
http://iccsite.com/
http://knuge.com/
http://resellhostingventures.com/

My guess would be because they are a reseller for one of the Alabanza host :)

2nd guess is because they havent' start making their pages yet.. Alabanza Newbie

Annette

Because that's the default template that Alabanza puts on their servers, and unless the host changes it, that's what you see when a new site is set up.

DynastyHost

I think he meant why they're a host.. and still have a under construction page..

:=)

Annette

I took it to mean what he asked - i.e., why are all the under construction pages the same, if all those companies are presumed to be separate from one another.

CRego3D
10-24-2000, 12:44 AM
If that's what he means ... I agree ;) get those pages going !!!, start hosting and join us here :)

Is it my imagination, or is "soshosting.com" that he posted before a really funny name for a webhost? : )

Thank you, ODE. Although, since "over 600 web hosting companies, web designers, and entrepreneurs" are powered by Alabanza, we must be missing a few. :)

With the performance, ahem, of some hosts lately... I think SOSHOSTING.COM is far from funny.

what r alabanza hosts?

Greg
12-02-2000, 10:02 PM
Alabanza is a company, which runs a NOC (Network Operations Center) which houses web servers, which we lease from them. So anyone who leases a server from Alabanza is considered "an Alabanza host"
