I've been reading about Rackshack, I like their bandwidth, but heard that if you have heavy scripting work on your site, you should stay away. I'm pretty sure our site has heavy scripting, and definately will. Take a look, suikosource.com. We probably have over 100 active visitors. We are planning to host a messageboard(phpBB2) when it comes out, plus a PHP strategy war game(text-based, of course) once we move off virtual hosting(with jtan), which is the most bandwidth and PHP use extensive. 50-75 users would probably take part in the strategy game. That is hella scripting, and too much for Rackshack, right(their Cobalt 99 buck deal)? What kind of specification would tell me how much scripting a certain server can take? And how much of that can take heavy scripting? Sorry, I'm a scripter, don't know much about connectivity or the real backend stuff :)
Or does anyone know of a 100/month(possibly up to 125 or 150/month) dedicated provider that can handle heavy scripting and lots of bandwidth? Say, 100GB+ a month. Currently we use 15GB a month, but our messageboard is currently remotely hosted(won't be for long), and it is very active so it will eat up lots of bandwidth, plus that whole wargame thing I was talking about.
