My damn optical is broken or something. Phrozen 11-03-2001, 03:42 PM I had that same problem at first. I kept getting around 60 mph until I figured it out. RunOfTheMill 11-03-2001, 03:49 PM argh whats the secret ? teck 11-03-2001, 03:54 PM yeah...spill it! teck 11-03-2001, 04:19 PM ok..i figured it out. change your mouse sensitivity level. the highest i can get is around 400. damn, this makes me dizzy with the mouse moving this fast :( Cyber 11-03-2001, 04:42 PM my friend got 836!!!! :eek3: El Nino 11-03-2001, 04:50 PM Yeah, mouse sensitivity is part of it but if you want the higher numbers, there is another secret too. Phrozen 11-03-2001, 05:16 PM I never thought of changing the mouse sensitivity properties. I'll have to try that. ShellBounder 11-03-2001, 06:10 PM You can change the PS/2 Refresh rate on some mice. It really helps. Acceleration full, sensitivity full. Freeze the hand by moving your mouse pointer out of the game area and back in on the other side of the monkey. You can get 800, easy. kmb999 11-03-2001, 06:15 PM Originally posted by ShellBounder Freeze the hand by moving your mouse pointer out of the game area and back in on the other side of the monkey. You can get 800, easy. I was just going to post that trick. ShellBounder 11-03-2001, 10:03 PM CPU also has a lot to do with it. I put a heavy load on my P3 at 550MhZ and the program ran even faster. That's how I managed my top score. I'm still playing around with memory allocation and seeing if it has anything to do with it, but no avail...yet. Btw...I put the load on my CPU with a VB app that just cycles in an endless DO loop. I've tested memory by resizing an array of DOUBLE variables until I ran out of memory. Then I redimmed it to 0 and the loop started over again. Hey, it works! Craig 11-03-2001, 10:08 PM Originally posted by ShellBounder CPU also has a lot to do with it. Really, you have waaaay too much free time on your hands matey ;) hehe Craig method5 11-03-2001, 11:52 PM I can't seem to get over 400. I got a P4 1.7Ghz, 512MB RAM.. when I was trying it I think I was only @ 10% of the cpu used up and 120meg ram... (win xp tells you this stuff)(I leave lots of windows open too) ShellBounder 11-04-2001, 11:10 AM Best I recall, Windows 2000/XP manages the CPU so program's can't take up more than their fair share of space. This is probably a factor. Jonah 11-05-2001, 10:56 AM Come on - make Daddy proud!!:D Honu 11-05-2001, 07:56 PM Aloha can get over 1000 the trick is that old saying think outside the box dektong 11-05-2001, 08:50 PM Originally posted by antireality I can't seem to get over 400.
