I have always been a collector of an unpopular genre of music.. game music. My first website was/is devoted to the music, lyrics, sample downloads, sharing everything there is to enjoy about game music. Our site has become quite popular due to the fact it isnt a popular subject, and we actually come up the #1 result on google when you search "game music lyrics" ;) - I don't know what it is that gets me into it so much, but I find that most games have music I can sit back and relax to. I enjoy music you'd hear on the radio as well, but I prefer the non-vocal orcestrated tracks in most cases.

How about you?

All subgenres of punk and metal, along with classic/prog rock and a bit of classical.

Nothing you would hear on the radio, though..

Note: I also play guitar (electric). :)

Agreed, excellent album. Actually our four year old sings the first track in the car every time it's put in... pretty cute stuff.

I'm also looking for the CD. I haven't paid for a whole album in years. $15 for a CD is outrageous. I would like to find it for $9.99-$11.99 (Not i'm not cheap, I have the money to pay for it but CD's are getting expensive!)

All the stores I go to have them for $14.99-$16.99. I was at another store that is 15 minutes away that if you do a trade-in you can buy a CD for $9.99. Too bad I didn't have any of my CD'S with me at a time.

I tried looking on iTunes for their songs but all I get is the childrens versions of their songs. :(

$13.99 with free shipping. $1 cheaper then Frys. I'm going to Frys today to pick up some new fans and Far Cry, I might just kick the bucket and pay the extra money to get it. :(

On a side note, i'm not going to be 'enjoying' any music anytime soon. Sent my z-680's back for a RMA today. Going to take shipping time (I sent it priority) plus two weeks for them to send it back. :bawling:

All I have now is some crummy Creative 5.1 Inspire 5300. The sub woofer is only 1ft x 1ft! The speakers are only 4in x 4in! Least I have room on my desk now.

Being in my mid 30's now I'm finding my music tastes are quite different from my younger years.

I'll listen to rock, classic rock, adult alternative, classical, blues, some jazz, etc., about the only thing I avoid is country music.

Here's a tip for those of you looking for some good music sources for the office, I use a PCI-DVB satellite card which allows me to listen to the Dish Network (and ExpressVu from Canada) audio feeds on my computer, they are unencrypted on the satellites and are perfectly legal to listen to. The cards cost about $75USD these days, scrounge up a dish or two and you have a reliable music source with no monthly fees, and commercial free too! :)

I had (And will have again) 500w RMS power. 1000w total peak power Dolby Digital/DTS encoding, THX certified. They are quality speakers I must say. http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/products/details/US/EN,CRID=2,contentid=5048,detail=2

Me too, but the audio feeds on the computer sure is a nice option to have.

I found out about this when I originally signed up for some satellite based internet services, they sent me the card and I tried their service for a couple of months but found it lacking.

So after that I just had to find a new use for the PCI-DVB card they sent me, I was already a subscriber to the ExpressVu service so hooking up to the second LNB was easy enough and I was pleasantly surprised to find the audio feeds unencrypted. I later added another dish to the mix to get the 50 or so unencrypted audio services on Dish Network too.

Apparently they don't want to pay the license fees on the audio feeds to scramble/encrypt them, instead they block at the receiver, which means regular DVB receivers (non Dish/ExpressVu units) can receive them easily.

Works great, and you also get the unencrypted video services too, such as NASA-TV.

That's pretty expensive for your age, what kind of work you do?

My TV card that I bought awhile back had a FM/AM turner, if I could ever get that to work it would be great.

Comcast has digital stations you can listen to. They've started putting ads on the screen they used to keep the screen black. I used to keep the TV on and listen to the music when getting to sleep.

Good thing to know that you're making your way through life partially on your own. A lot of kids these days are milking their parents for all their worth. :(
