Hi,

It seems like we have big problems with mods on IRC.

I was banned from the server for no reason:

[23:58] -irc.inetirc.com- *** You are banned from irc.inetirc.com (Bye)
-
[23:58] Closing Link: UltimeWWW[*.mc.videotron.ca] (User is banned (Bye))

I came back asking why I was banned and someone banned me again.

iNet, I think you need to clear out a lot of things. Is that how you're treating people who are here for a long time and even paying a membership?

That's pure abuse.

You violated the following rules:

3. Abuse towards any person, company, operator or other staff member is not allowed.

5. We take the "Be Polite" rule very seriously! We do not tolerate any rudeness. Any member who is intentionally unpleasant or disruptive may be banned without warning.

9. Discussing, debating, question, etc. of warnings/bans on WHT will not be tolerated.

Allright.

Show me what I wrote for #3 and #5.

Being inpolite by posting links to pornographic content in the channel when a guest asked for links to web hosting companies.

Oh, so ****** is considered like "pornographic content"? The user asked for links, I gave him one.

This is abuse. I'm requesting a refund for my Premium Membership from iNet.

This is not "pure" abuse. You were banned from the server for posting a link to questionable content in the wht-marketplace. If you would have accepted that, the ban would have expired after 30 days, and you would have been given access again.

It is like being disabled here. You get 30 points for 30 days, you are banned for 30 days, but on the 31st day, you can come back. But since you decided to ignore the fact that would would eventually be let back in. You could have wrote the IRC mods and they would have provided you with the reason.

Also, paying for a membership will not make you immune to the rules of WHT or WHT IRC.

I don't care, I want a refund. My invoice number is "#10311".

This is abuse and no warnings has been given.

Plain and simple, I'm tired.

I guess talking about Britney Spears boobs is more appropriate than what I wrote. Right.

iNet should moderate his own moderators rather than adding new toys to WHT. There is a lot of works to do.

I won't be back on #WHT, trust me.

Have a nice day.

Resolved my issue by myself, I simply won't go back into the chat room.

UltimeWWW: Being a premium member will not give you immunity to the forum or IRC rules. If I posted a link to that, I would have been banned instantly, regardless as to whether or not I was a WHT Mod

I don't want to be on a community with mods that bans for nothing. I bought the membership to help the community. I don't feel the need to help the community again with the level of professionnalism the people who banned me on IRC showed.

Plain and simple.

So it's unprofessional someone banned you for breaking the rules, but it is professional for you to post links to pornographic websites when someone asked for a link to a good hosting company?

I don't know if you were referring to me or not, but I was never dicussing BS's Boobs in iNet IRC, or anywhere else.

That said, if you notice something you think it innapropriate, then please bring it to a moderators, or in IRC's case, operators attention and they will deal with it.

It seems that we don't have the same definition of "pornographic websites".

Can I have my refund?

I think 99.9999% of the world's population would agree that highly graphic pictures of male genitals is definitely pornographic (and disgusting).

Anyway,

For complaints against IRC mods:

Send an email to irc-mods@webhostingtalk.com.

For refund requests:

Send an email to sales@inetinteractive.com

This is definitely not the place to discuss either.

Chat transcript ... reviewed.

Request for refund ... received.

Request for refund ... denied.

As stated above, inappropriate conduct by any member, premium or not, does not get tolerated, and the mods did not act out of place.

Discussion ... over.
