Hello---Does anyone know what has happened to Hitspot.net?
Our site is hosted with them and it has been down since yesterday. Their website is also down and our attempts to contact them by email has resulted in our messages being bounced back. Does anyone know what is going on? Thanks

Not sure ...their last post here was over a month ago. If its been down since yesterday without any notification to clients i'd consider them gone.
I would like to know what happened to Hitspot.net as well.
I opened a reseller account with them a couple of months ago, and David Kiley was very helpful although he only had email support. When I started reselling, I was (and still am) a complete newbie in the hosting business, so I started reading this forum and rackshack forum just to get educated. Acouple of weeks ago I decided to purchase my own Raq4i through RS, and I started moving my sites over to it after I got my DNS set up and everything seemed stable. I just transferred my last one today.
I had about 20 domains on Hitspot. I was still going to keep my account going with them in case I got into trouble, and I could just reroute my domains back to Hitspot, and maybe later use my account as a FTP backup server.
I just received my hardcopy invoice in the mail today, but I already sent a money order a few days ago. I did send email to billing@hitspot.net about an hour ago, and asked what's going on, and this email did not bounce back.
I'll wait and see if I hear back from them.
Could be his server crashed and he's just getting it back up or something, but an email would have been nice.

I was in communication with them just this week and they seem to be moving forward and setting up a new secure server. So I don't think it's anything permanent.
I just got an email from David, and apparently they had a server giving them problems, and they were scrambling to get their client sites back up before their own.
I can understand that.
I was hoping that they didn't shut down without notice, as David doesn't seem like that kind of person. He's always been very helpful to me.

I just got a couple more emails from Hitspot. The first one was from Eireann in billing, offering to send me back my money order if I wanted to cancel, and I got one from David offering any help that I might need with my own Raq.
It's easy to jump to conclusions if all of a sudden a site is down, without knowing why, but Hitspot.net has proven to me that they are good and honest people, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.
