Hi- this may not be the appropriate place for this but i am desperate now... especially since i cant get any help from my host (who we will not name just yet)

(using WHM - I have a reseller account - no root access)

We modified a resold clients username per his request - the problem is that none of his mysql db's show in cpanel - nor will they appear in phpmyadmin

They are somewhere though - the sites still work using the db's information, but we just cant get to them-

please advise what we can do to get to them to at least create back-ups.... thanks
Scott

Do you have SSH access?

mysqldump -u <username> -p <database> > <filename>

I would never modify a client's username in WHM :) It has caused major problems when I've used it (not sure about now) and it didn't work correctly.

In the past, deleting and recreating the domain helped.

I know that now!!!

cPanel should place a LARGE note about that in the WHM in bright red letters... or disable the function till it works....

Anyway - that issue is now resolved by changing the username back to the original...

now moving on to the next issue......
hope your all haveing a better day than me!!
