I'm looking for an exceptional web developer to help with a QWK.Net site redesign. I'll handle the "grunt" work, but I need somebody to handle the template design, and come up with some creative designs for a few key pages.

I need somebody who understands:

- how to create simple, attractive, professional, fast-loading designs

- that the use of features just for the sake of their use, like JavaScript and Flash, is a no-no on a professional site

- that, on the other hand, technologies like CSS can make site design a lot easier, leaner, and more maintainable

- how to make HTML that is as clean and maintainable as possible, particularly for somebody whos preferred HTML editor is vi

Budget for this project is around $300. You'll be expected to produce a template and a few other pages.

It's a great design by a very talented guy, but it's a little "thick" and dark. I want to really streamline things - make them easy to read, so I can get people on the sales path.

As nice as the current site looks, it performs very poorly on conversions.
