Anytime I draw a circle or something with smooth edges in PS7 it comes up jagged and pixelated. I can't remember what I had it on before, but I can't get the borders to smooth out...

Check the "anti-aliased" box in the inspector.

If you want super smoothness, you can always do the

option+click on layer -> new channel -> fill selection -> gaussian blur -> adjust levels -> option+click on channel -> fill selection on layer

trick for super smooth edges.
