Hi, I have searched hi and low in google for this effect but cant find a tutorial anywhere. Hopefully you will know what I mean... when the splat image zooms in then splats, usually seen on banners.

Anyone any ideas on where I could find a tutorial on how to create this effect?

looks like a frame by frame animation, there's lots of ways you can do something like that. The zooming in is simply a motion tween, then the splat can be 2-3 different images, place on keyframes after the tween
