Over the last few months, there have been several complaints about Interland posted here. I was spammed twice by a site they hosted, and they took no action to prevent it from happening again.

Earlier this month, I passed on problems with Interland to somebody over at scritkeeper who was considering them, and told him to look here for more details.

One of the things that bothers me, and I know many others here, is when companies treat us like we're stupid. They do that when they post under an alias, thinking we won't know that they represent their company. It's they who are stupid (much the same as with spammers).

Some of you might find parts of the post at http://www.scriptkeeper.com/ubb/Forum5/HTML/001278.html interesting. In particular, note the last paragraph (by me).

Why do they persist with their sleazy tricks?

Steph- What, you don't want a month of free hosting??? Heh, heh... I am just going to make SURE they are on my mailing list if I ever start hosting!

To anyone who is considering Interland ... STOP IMMEDIATELY! I had five accounts with them and they had the most unknowledgable support staff ever. When I tried to call and talk to support it was obvious that the support technician had no clue what I was talking about. Also, there control panel is archaic and totally blown away by Alabanzas'!

Just my three cents!

On the other hand, I've hosted with them for 2 years, and despite a few problems have been happy with them. I find it easier to manage the problems myself, instead of just making a call and leaving it to someone I haven't met. I don't think they're any worse than any other Win host I've used.

I can't comment on their snail mail, as I never receive any from them (probably don't want to waste money on international mail).
