I just changed hosts and got the info to change the DSN info. I use GoDaddy as my registrar. I changed the dns but did not find anywhere to put the IP addresses. Is there a place?
How long should I wait before becoming concerned about whether or not the changes took effect? The new DNS is already listed on whois so I assume that between 24-48 hours?
I just want to make sure I did everything I need to do.

If I am not mistaken NetSol does this/used to do this to. You only inputted the nameservers not the IP addys when modifying your domain name info. You should be ok, I'd wait 48hrs to see what happens. You might as well email GoDaddy while you wait.

David@Digisurge's correct.
GoDaddy doesn't have you input the IPs as they are registered to the nameservers you insert.
I use GoDaddy for a few domains and never have any problems when modifying DNS information.

I just had the strangest thing happen.. the domain was showing(the changed one) and then now a couple of hours later it's gone again.. My email is coming through with the new server though. Strange!

Do you mean it's not showing up on the web; or in your GoDaddy control panel?

Not showing on the web. The GoDaddy info has the DNS right. I just thought it was strange that one hour the address points to the new host and now it points to the old one(which of course gives a 404 type error).

Could your server be down?

Is it the site that's in your www button?
Cuz I can go there.
