I love food, but too bad I can't cook or I would have contributed.

That shouldn't stop you from reading Roy.

well, I think the visitors are gonna be more interested in food rather than hosting.
Why didn't you offer secret recipes for the first person with 30 quality posts instead? That might work better.

I just figured since this was a hosting forum, I'd offer hosting. :stickout:
Most of the people I'm making the offer to are culinary students, so they may be interested in a little web space to put their resume online.

Well wouldn't a culinary message board be a better place to get targeted visitors to that site? Cause frying pans and servers are not very closely related, unless you can introduce some server controlled frying pan that operates on a cron job so it cooks a meal at a specific time of the day.

We must cover all the bases. The reason a lot of culinary boards are not appropriate is because most don't have an advertising forum, and most don't want someone signing up to promote another forum.
I wonder if I could create a cron job to start my coffee maker in the morning?

Linux powered coffee maker. That will be cool!
But someone might hack in and make your coffee maker go berserk.

True. I might end up with decaf. That would be just wrong.
