Svenneman 10-31-2001, 07:29 PM hey
I wonder which is the best place to register domains.

AussieHosts 11-01-2001, 01:26 AM Haven't heard any complaints about them. But there are cheaper ones around. :-)
Regards
Gary
tongz 11-01-2001, 07:07 AM domainnext.com $8.95
Svenneman 11-01-2001, 07:27 AM are domainnext.com good?
do they offer a good cp where I can change DNS and such
swissfreak 11-01-2001, 08:03 AM We use bulkregister.com (12$). I can't say anything against them. Never had problems.
tongz 11-01-2001, 08:55 AM It is ok. You can change DNS directly.
If you want domain forward , etc. directnic.com $15 is a good choice. Check it out.
But I just want a domain. So, I registered at domainnext.com
sometime I use DNS server at mydomain.com They offer
free DNS service. you can point DNS to them.
but sometime mydomain.com is freeze.
I will continue to find the cheapest one for general usage.
Svenneman 11-01-2001, 08:58 AM domainnext seems like a good one, how long has they been on the market?
I want to use a company that have been on the market for a long time and won't dissapear. :)
tongz 11-01-2001, 08:58 AM one more thing, opensrs network ( opensrs.net ) can change
the owner name on the fly without any charge. If you register from
their reseller and then your reseller close their website, you can
goto update at opensrs.net directly. very excellent.
stay away from networksolutions.
tongz 11-01-2001, 09:02 AM note: directnic.com and domainnext.com are not reseller of opensrs network. it can't change/update owner name.
Svenneman 11-01-2001, 09:04 AM that sounds cool too =)
gonna check it out
Hi,
Check this out.
Dabot.com (http://dabot.com)
$6.95 /year
You can change DNS....
cactus 11-01-2001, 10:42 AM Hi,
I like 000domains.com and register all my clients' domains with them. It's $13.50 per domain but I don't mind the extra few dollars and feel more secure using them for almost 2 years.
tongz 11-01-2001, 11:30 AM Oh! sorry http://www.domainsnext.com/
But domainnext.com was registered at http://www.registerfly.com/ --> looking good but it isn't opensrs
( tucows ).
000domains is powered by opensrs... good.
If you found cheaper price, go signup because you can manage
domain from opensrs.com directly.
if you want features, www.registerfly.com is looking cool.
    :stickout ;) :D :)
ShellBounder 11-01-2001, 11:32 AM I really like Domain Bank; they've got good tech support. However, I've been slowly transferring my domains to Dotster to cut the registraton price in half. So far they've been pretty good, however, they won't update a DNS server entry they've got.
Svenneman 11-01-2001, 02:20 PM I think I'll use registerfly =)
a fair price and good features that's what I want =)
SoftWareRevue 11-01-2001, 02:23 PM www.stargateinc.com is $8.85 a year and has every option in their control panel you could possibly use.
Svenneman 11-01-2001, 02:33 PM it's getting better and better all the time =)
the one above:
"Register A Domain and get all this for FREE... Internic Fees
One page website
URL Forwarding with masking/cloaking
One email address (includes forwarding)
Online registrant/ownership changes
Multi-year discounts!
All this for only $8.85 USD per year!"
but what about DNS?
I wana be able to change DNS I don't want the mail, and the subdomain be handeled by them
