hey

I have a question about hostrocket.com

I've only heard good things about their hosting service so far, but are there anyone here that have anything that's not good to say about them?

Thx

This has been discussed a lot lately. Please do a search. These questions turn into an ordeal. Also, here is the last post on them.

You search this form and you find mostly bad things about them especially about their support.

I've learned now that they aren't as good as I thought

Actually, Hostrocket has been great for me, and a lot of others. I find that people on bulletin boards are often quick to post a negative remark about a company and that sometimes isn't fair or the right thing to do. You also have to remember that with the huge amount of clients that Hostrocket has, it is hard to please everyone of them, and complaints are bound to be posted. Hostrocket has fast servers and the majority of the time answers trouble tickets in a polite and timely manner.

They stinked for me and other people I read about here to. You'd be better of without a website if you have to have one without support and is down.

I will disagree with the idea that people are "quick to post a negative remark about a company and that sometimes isn't fair or the right thing to do." If one’s comments are true, they are fair and it is the correct thing to do! I suppose each reader must ascertain the 'truth' on his own, but when one reads numerous similar complaints that becomes an easy task. The same is true for long threads offering praise for a host. In neither case, however, is not the people posting who's veracity is the topic. In each case someone asks for opinion and it is given. Take it as one likes.

My own experience with Hostrocket is well documented on this board and others. What was not fair was they way I was treated and they way others who presented similar cases were apparently treated. One can discard that as having little value if one wishes, however, just as the driver who reads the sign "Dangerous Curves Ahead" and, lacking foresight, feels he might like to go really fast now, one risks quite a wreck, after which hindsight will be a no value.

Take care,

Dennis
