Anyone know what happened to liquid2d.com... it now forwards to template monster! Is TM taking over the website template world?

Hello everybody,

I'm sorry our site is not up, we were hacked and immediately afterwards all traffic aimed at liquid2d.com is being redirected to the template monster site. We are not affiliated in any way to template monster, nor they have the right to display or resell any of our material.
At this stage we are working on getting things back to normal again. The good news is that we were able to find out the source and the true source behind it. I can tell you that we're doing everything possible to get on-line again and persecute the people behind this attack. We've been advised not to say anything more about it for now.
Rest assured that all affiliate partners will get their well earned due and more than that we will come back with better designs and new material.
Our thanks to all our loyal friends and well wishers, special thanks to our buddy Say.

Jeff,

We never spammed anybody at any time. As a matter of fact we have an active file both with the FBI and the IWF because the spamming was an unsuccessful attempt to blackmail us for a very large amount of money.

We posted all necessary information on our site untill the FBI advised us not to do so for the course of their investigation.

We do not accept neither spamming nor any other kind of illegal internet activity and we have all necessary proof and legal material to clarify this point.

Why is there so much hate in the templates business? I figured some hacking was going on. It's so sad. I wonder if us little people will ever know what "really" happened.

A majority of the people do know what's going on Pete and the source of hacks and Ddos attacks is one. But at this point we, liquid 2d, can't say anything due to the ongoing investigations.

I know why - the fact of reselling templates more than once is lame :)

Simple enough for ya? :)

If only it was the reason.

heh :)

The talent that the L2D designers have, why not just open up a custom design shop?

Our aim is to provide the same quality of work that custom shops do for every day users like us.

well I'm sure some people don't wanna or can't go and drop hundreds on a template. What is lame is people who slap some html and images together and then try to sell it to you for 200 bucks!

wwesnnet - could you point me to these people please? :) - Designing is a lot harder than it looks, and its more than you just stated.

No, whats lame are the people who say I don't want some template thats being resold. Design me something custom for the same price.

Actually, it's quite hard to make a custom design. And it surely would NEVER be the same price as the pre-made design. And if you really don't want to spend hundereds of dolloars why not make your own design? That will show you why most designers sell pre-made websites and not custom websites for the same price as the pre-made templates.
