I've been looking for a new host and I've read some good reviews on this company. Just wanted to know what your thoughts are about them.

Insiderhosting was excellent when I used them. Granted it has been over a year since I had any sites there, but from what I can see, things are still going well for them. Support was always quick and helpful. Steven even called me to confirm/clarify something I had placed in a support ticket.

If that's not service, I'm not sure what is.

We were with IH for over a year, they are still excellent...they helped us start out! I highly recommend their support and Steven is just wonderful. :) I am a regular poster on their forum board, have you visited the board yet? There is a lot of good information on there.

If you're referring to insiderhosting.com, their particular domain resolves to Mzima Networks IP space in Los Angeles and not VO IP space.

It appears they are not directly associated with VO whatsoever.

Just a note of clarification as some members pointed me here. Insiderhosting.com is not a part of Ventures Online. Over 2 1/2 years ago we started off with a reseller account from VO. Now we own and operate our own servers out of the equinix/pihana and One Wilshire facilities here in Los Angeles, California.

I am having a certain number of reselleraccounts with as many providers.
Since the beginning of 2003 I also have one with IH, I never had any
problems. That made me decide to move a number of reselleraccounts to them.
(these reselleraccounts were housed at other providers of whom is highly
spoken here in the forum)

There are a number of items that I think of as very important for a
provider, and that is a.o. uptime, stability and support. When those items
come up to my expectations I am even prepared to pay a bit more. Where do
you stand with a cheap host when there are regular downtimes and when you
have to wait hours for support? I also wish to go on a trip with a relaxed
attitude/mind.

The times that I needed support I got a reply within an acceptable amount of
time. They take care of what is necessary. And they do it with the
necessary know-how and patienc.

Also on the level of uptime they are incredibly good. As far as I know
during the year and a half that I am with them they had one single downtime
of 15 minutes, so that is nothing.

Insiderhosting.com is a provider that I recommend.

In the past I sometimes posted my bad experiences with providers but when
there is something really positive I think it has to be said too :-)

Yeap, Steven, what can I say, just GREAT!

I colocate with insider and they have been great.

I chose to go with InsiderHosting after being burned about 3 times in 2 months with "Great Deals" on hosting. Steven and I communicated for about 3 months before I jumped in with InsiderHosting...and I've never looked back.

Sure, you can find some better deals as far as space/BW goes, but remember that all of IH's sites are housed on dual xeon servers. But the iceing on the cake is the support. If I've ever had a question or slight issue, it's been answered (not just a automated reply) very quickly.

I would HIGHLY recommend IH.

Yep, I could justify this, on truly premium Mzima bandwidth. BTW, Steve is a real cool guy to deal with, highly recommend insiderhosting ;)

I was with Phantasyworks Hosting when it merged with IH, smooth transition, and excellent service.

I have been with PWH/IH nearing over 2 years now, and the last time I put in a ticket was to renew my account for another year.

They are fast, friendly, and very flexible, I would recommend them any day!

As far as I know all the servers offer RAID (redundant disks) to reduce the risk of hard drive failures. A hard drive failure is one of the most common technical problems on webservers. So, a RAID solution can greatly improve the quality of service.

I have never been a client of IH but having seen Steven in a different forum - he shows integrity and great business skills.

Excellent service. I had a reseller account with them for over a year! Fantastic uptime of 99.9% and top notch servers. I outgrew my reseller account and Steven helped me acquire a dedicated server ( through them , of course.) They also own httpme.com.
