So you're saying if someone used 200GB per month of bandwidth it would still be the same price?
Don't lie, there is no such thing as "unlimited traffic".

You are the answer to my wet dreams... one of my personal sites does about 800 gig of traffic a month.... and you would let me stay for one low price? guaranteed? baloney.... be realistic next time, I would cost you a fortune. I know most sites do under 2 gig/month, with most even lower. I, and a few others like me, would skew your costs so far out of whack you would have to raise all your rates to cover it. So knowing this, what are the realistic limits?

Well,well,well!

The poor complete newbie had no idea at all that he is posting into the most informed forum!

The only thing truly unlimited I can see with these hosts is their greed!

But I saw a large number of hosts in the reputed host directories like hostsearch, webhostdir etc offering unlimited transfer... Cant some one do something about it?

Cheers
B

Dear Sirs,

We offer to each of our clients a dedicated channel of 64Kbps and they have unlimited traffic on this channel. We never said unlimited bandwidth , only unlimited traffic. This information is on our website.

This system assures them that they will no be charged for extra traffic , they will pay only the fixed monthly price.
You try to ruin others publicity because you can't handle the competition ??

64k is pretty good, you could use 20gb if you max it out all month

Dedicated 64kbit doesn't leave room for bursting, eh? Or are they on a very large pipe and are limited to 64kbit average over a month? That's different (and better). :)

64k is pretty good, you could use 20gb if you max it out all month If 5 people are downloading at the same time from your page they do not get more than 2kb/sec!
If someone else wants to browse it: 1kb/sec ..

so whats so good on that 64k?

Maybe it should be worded:
Traffic: Only limited by dedicated channel of 64Kbps.

The 'u' word isn't extremely popular around here...

Which smartasses? You mean the people who point out that unlimited bandwidth / traffic / transfer does not exist?

Also, how can a site have unlimited traffic if it is only on a 64k line?

Considering the ink has hardly dried on your own post announcing your ‘new’ company.
I would have thought you one of the least qualified to make such un-business like remarks.

Why can’t hosts offer Blastcenter or anyone else starting out, constructive support and advice (even if they are wrong) . PM or email them – at least give them the chance to edit the post, rather than just trash them.

A tip for the future....

True web hosting cusomters (from my experience) will not do business with anyone that tries to give the illusion of free bandwidth, unless they have a very low traffic site.

You may want to reconsider the wording of your ads.

Eladesor,

Point well taken & thanks ... Blastcenter, apologies! What I posted certainly looks very rude

[although after a few beers it looked like the smartest thing to say!]

Thx
