do you think that there is a need for a hosting company to have a letterhead?

I would go for letterhead and matching buisness card, if you are ever going to meet your customers/contact them in writing.

You might want your logo on your envelopes, but not a big thing I would think.

well i will use the letterhead to send hardcopies of their bill to my resellers and to send out a thank you note and rundown of actions on the account of my affiliate program members when i mail them their check every month that is the only reason i will need the letterhead i guess. on the business card i really dont see any point to that so that is why i want to see if people here think that it is needed.

We have letterhead, but don't use it very often. For the purposes you stated (invoicing resellers and sending affiliate reports) letterhead is an unnecessary, expensive solution. You're much better off, for those items, just printing on plain paper, stuff the things in a window envelope (so you don't have to have a separate address label), and mail it as-is. It looks more professional that way anyway, and the window envelope will save you a lot of time.

We use our letterhead when doing anything that requires an actual letter (thus the term "letterhead") in printed form. We don't have envelopes with our logo on them, though - just the letterhead.

I agree with Doug that business cards are an absolute must - and I highly recommend you get nice business cards.

Take a look at www.printingforless.com - we use them for business cards, letterhead, and brochures, and have been very very satisfied.

Also, you mentioned thank you notes - we buy our thank you notes from Abbott Cards - you can order their catalog from www.abbottcards.com.

Good luck,

Jason
