Quick bit of trivia: The RaQ's OS is a modified Red Hat linux.

Well, you have to look at what a RaQ4 *is*...

Hardware: an AMD K6/2-450 MHz machine with IDE drive(s -depending on model), and a max ram capacity of 512MB.

From a hardware standpoint, you can obviously get something faster and able to handle more.

It also has a modified RH linux web hosting software package which is easy to maintain (somewhat), and can be set up ready to go in 5 minutes, which includes admin cp, siteadmin cp, and a limited user cp.

It is hard to compare this to a normal RH linux server, as you'd most likely want a cp for your clients and comparing the two will require you knowing which system (if any) you are going to purchase.

The cheapest solutiuon is probably the RaQ, but it might not be the best solution for your needs.
