some .info sites might be more valuable compared to .coms if they are information orianted websites :)

yes some .info sites could be worth alot if they are spesifically informative but Bashar I don't beleve that they could be worth more then the .com version my friend .com is king of the net.

I beleve .com is has been established as a universal extension due to its popularity....

.com is the first and since in very old days .net and .org was limited to network and non-profit organizations thats why everyone went to .com and it got popular

.info and .biz just came into biz and they have nice chunck of total number of domains registered world wide.

yes.... very true but since the .com gained its popularity first it will be the one to stand out forever more... I would say .net and info have good portensial for catching up but will they ever is the question?

Generally speaking, it would be really good for a .net or .org to get say 10 - 15% value of its .com counterpart. As for .info or .biz, even for generic names, their values are really minimal, with only occasional exceptions.

i prefer .com

More and more business owners are realizing a customer could care less about what was at the end of their domain. On top of that they want to be different than the rest.

I recently sold a domain to a company with offices in five countries. Their primary domain was blahinc.com. They decided blah.biz looks a whole lot better. In addition I offered to assist them in acquiring the .info from another reseller on dnf and they said they weren't interested.

I believe the future of .info and .biz is much closer than most realize. I personally have 6 .biz local directories in development which I will be advertising in local print, yellowpages, radio, etc. Sure I could spend thousands, tens of thousands, mabey even hundreds of thousands to acquire the .com's but I can think of better things to do with that money.

yes but because .com gained so much popularity and everyone knows of it... its a more memerible domain and beause search engines are not extreamly effective in finding the companys site you want, so it would be instintive to type the url with a .com ending in trying to find the site manually.

.com will always be the strongest over all, but .uk and other country extensions i think will grow and grow.

Out of every new extension info has been the big wow and shocked alot of people its about one of the only extentions which means something and is not a new.net domain.

yeah thats true, .info is also a 4 letter word and would think it would lose popularity but because the internet is a 100% informative place the extension makes more sense to use....

On one of my directories I have the .info and .biz extension. This is a business directory or as I like to call it a .bizness directory. I decided to go with the .biz over .info and use it as a redirect also to keep other from doing the same thing since I have the only two that are not already used for other cites/companies.

to make a general statement I would be saying well under 1%. It will vary a fair bit accord to category, geographic names tend to make up most of he highest .info sales for example.

I've paid 4 figures for a .info

.info is better than .com
but really, there is no much difference between them.
Both are generic top level domain names.
.biz is less popular because the spelling is kinda bad

newyork.info moscow.info and england.info was sold for 5 figures :)

Value is in the eyes of the beholder. If someone has a need for the name, then obviously it's worth something. Even if it's the best one word domain out there, if nobody wants it it's worth nothing.

.INFO is next popular domain after .ORG

I prefer .com, but .info has lot's of potential :)
